Chikhaldhara is a hill station placed at a height 1118 meters; it is in Amaravati district of Maharashtra. It is 82 Kilometers away from its district center Amaravati. Hurricane Point:
It is a beautiful hill top point from where one can get stunning view of lush green valley. It is perfect place to spend time in the lap of nature.
Bheema kund: Previously Chikhaldhara was known as “Keechakadhara”. According to the stories of “The Mahabharata” at this place Bheema killed wicked prince Keechaka and washed his hands in this Bheem Kund water pond. Gwalighar fort is the fort placed on the mountain. The historical background of the fort is associated with Maratha empire. The fort has unique architectural style. The other two forts in this area are Narnala Fort and Amner Fort.
Bir Lake :
It is not a natural lake, this was built during British Era.
Panchol Point is a deep beautiful valley. It is 4 kilometers away from Bir Lake. It is a place where five peaks are connected and the sound will be echoes five times. That is why; it is called as “Five echo point”.

Melghat is a Tiger Reserve placed on Satpura Ranges in Amaravati District of Maharashtra. It is 73 kilometers away from Chikhaldhara. Melghat wild life Sanctuary houses not only The Bengal Tigers but also rich in biodiversity. The other animals can be seen in this forest are Indian Leopard, Sloth Bear, Flying Squirrel, Indian Jackal, Langur, Pangolin, Mouse Deer, Sambar Deer, Barking Deer, Chital, Chausinga, Neengai, Gaur, wild boar, porcupine and Python and so on
